The B9200 with a V1200 4 cylinder diesel, I recently aquired, has a leak around where the Injection Pump mounts to its housing. I know that the previous owner had swapped out the injection pump when the original one failed. Is there supposed to be a gasket or silicon where the shims are located? In looking at the parts diagram on Messick's website, its not obvious and my Kubota B9200HST WSM doesn't reference it either.

Can anyone let me know or point me to where I can find out?

Thanks, - Carey

Is the leak fuel or oil?
And no you don't use any sealer on that joint or on those shims.
If it's fuel the issue is above it.
If it's oil check for a clogged breather.

I believe its leaking from around the seam where the shims are. I degreased the area and it seems to be motor oil. I checked that the bolts holding the injector plate were tight. Will check the breather when I get a chance. Might not be until Monday. The tractors at my son's house.

Can you tell me how to locate and check the engine breather. I'm not that familiar with this engine yet.

Thanks for getting back to me.

On this motor is it necessary to remove the valve cover to clean the breather? Could it be a simple as a Mud Dauber nesting in the end of what appears to be a down tube coming from the breather box?

Interested in hearing any thoughts, Thanks - Carey
