Hello, I am new to the forum and need some help on a B7100 I bought disassembled. My question is: Do the connecting rods and/or pistons need to be oriented a certain way? In other words is there a front or back marking to them like most engines? Thanks for any help.

Yes, stamped numbers on the sides of the rods go towards the injection pump.
I wouldn't bother with the old pistons.
Get a rebuild kit with new pistons.
