Hello
I would use any good tractor hydraulic fluid. I would not use 80-90. Also check your shift lever boot for cracks . This may be were you are getting water in the system.

Second what Lance says, Good hydraulic fluid for it.

One thing to look for on the label is UDT compliant. ;)

Thanks for the help. The shifter boot is the problem.. does the knob screw off or is it a knock on fit? I plan on using a ATV axle boot for a replacement since I have them ready available at work...
