Sweet Pea and I were running errands this morning and one of the stops was Messick's for a filter. Found the 50th Anniversary L6006 in the showroom. Wow, what a great looking tractor. I'd love to see it out in the sunlight. Neil Messick did a short piece on it in one of his videos. He mentioned that the video doesn't do the machine justice. Neither do my pics.

That’s a sweet ride for sure…Did you set a date with the dealer when you would take delivery?

I have the good fortune of living nearly 7 hours driving time from Messick's!

Is that darker orange than normal or just the inside lighting?

Thanks for the pix. Looks nice.

Spotted one on my dealers lot in N. Georgia last week too. Could see the metal flake just sparkling in the sun.

I’ll bet you could see it in the sunlight at your place. You’re having to make do with an “old” 40 series Grand L, that’s not right.

Messick has a very large showroom. As soon as we got through the doors the tractor was like a big beacon, calling to me. It's sort of a beautiful burnt orange with either a pearl or fine metallic in it. It's really something that must be seen in person. In his video Neil said he plans to keep the tractor - at least for a while. It doesn't sound like every dealer can get one and this is probably the only one they'll see here in Mount Joy.

I'm very happy to have the tractor I do. It's more machine than many would choose for a 3-1/2 acre property. But that's what a tool and equipment nut with an agreeable wife ends up with. However, if someone were to leave me a large sum of money in a will...................................:)

Here's Neil's video. The 6060 starts around 2:45

Saw one at Swink’s in Lexington. Beautiful machine. Stared at it so long my wife asked if we were trading up to a tractor with a cab. Paint was like something I’d expect to see on a show quality car. I don’t abuse my equipment but I don’t think I could bring myself to go rooting around in the woods with that. I’d feel about the same as if I was hauling chicken litter in the back of my wife’s Highlander.

It’s not really trading up if it’s adding a 2nd. 😉 There is nothing wrong with a pair and a spare.

The orange is kind of a burnt orange darker than the normal Kubota orange. My dealer has had one in their showroom for about a month. I kind think that it is a little ugly looking myself.

Agreed.

I love my L6060 but I do not like the looks of the 50th version.

I have to agree. I'm not a fan of the grey and orange combination, or the muscle car paint. I'm drawn to the beauty of utility and that 50th edition doesn't say utility to me.

I’d be proud to make it dirty and ride in a high roller HVAC cage to see what I am missing…I would be proud to accept donation.

I stopped by the dealer near me this afternoon and they have one of the L6060 50th Anniversary Edition tractors in the showroom. I was more interested in the M5-111 they have outside though! :ROFLMAO:

Did you settle on a price or delivery date?😉
Heck no! I really like tractors, and the bigger the tractor the more I like it, but I'm good with the MX and M60. I can do everything I need or want with those two, and at this stage I'd rather have two lesser tractors than one better one since I find that having two is really convenient.

It’s ok to have a pair and a spare…that applies to EDC as well as it does tractors. I know what you mean. I am always eyeing an M4…but for now I will not so much as even open the cab…as soon as I get in and sit down we both know it’s all over.

The M5 tractors are nice machines, a nice compliment to an L6060!
