Good morning guys.
I currently have a kubota l2950 that came with front loader and back hoe model 4590 attachment. The pto pump (part# 70050-93753) for the back hoe got stolen and unfortunately is been discontinued. I am trying to buy a replacement pump for it, but need some advice into what size pump should i buy.
PrInce does offer multiple pto pumps at different gallon capacity. Can somene please help me figure out the correct pump for this back hoe application?
I would truly appreciate your help.

I don't know but bssed on some pictures it looks pretty small.

I see your tractor produces 7 GPM. I would be tempted to hook it to the tractor hydraulics and see how it does. Might be too slow but at least you have a data point.

Dan the original pump was 5GPM.

In a case like this where the hoe has a separate pump , is there such thing as too many GPM within reason ?
thanks

Yes. Regardless of how the pump is driven you are primarily limited by the capacity of the reservoir and the size of the hoses and valves. But you can certainly go a bit larger than the original pump.

I don't know about the 4590 but on the 4690 it used a Eaton gear pump. I don't know the model or all the details but the pump was rated at a high rpm (3,000+) with a high displacement (15GPM+). At the 540RPM of the PTO it equated to 4-6 GPM I believe.

That arithmetic doesn't work

15 GPM @ 3000 = 2.7 GPM @ 540

Based on the pictures it could well be an Eaton 26000 series pump - very popular choice in the mobil equipment world. The largest pump in that line is 1.87 CID = 24 GPM @ 3000 = 4.7 GPM @ 540

That's an SAE-A 2 bolt pump. A Dynamic GPF2032 is a 1.95 CID pump and very affordble @ $170. You would have to cobble up the PTO shaft coupler.
