can one buy shafts of varying lengths to fit the mid-PTO on a B2650?

I've got the first inklings of an idea simmering in the back of my head and everything else would depend on being able to get a PTO shaft that extends at least to the front differential. Further would be better.

Perhaps off a Kubota front-mount snowblower?

The "lazy" part is asking here instead of doing the surfing myself, just on the off chance that somebody might know right off the top of their head.

Paul - using my BX as reference - not sure equates to B2650.

Not getting if you mean the driveline to connect to the tractor's mid-PTO, or the output shaft mounted into a subframe for a front-mount attachment that the driveline connects to?

For BX, I know there are different output shaft lengths - guessing 12-17" ???

The actual driveline....not sure....but my gut says no. That's just a guess.

PS - - are all/most of the drivelines same size couplers? If so - there might be an opportunity to cross between models to get a different/longer length. (L to B ? - but also guessing an L with mid-PTO may have different size couplers?)

The mid driveshaft from a B2660 snowblower would probably work. Be warned that even with a new shaft I had terrible vibration problems when I first put the snowblower on my B2410. I had to have the brand new shaft modified and balanced by a driveline company before it would spin up to the mid pto speed without vibrating. If they are all the same as the one I bought I would not recommend you waste your money on one.

Good to know. I'd probably be best to determine spline count and diameter for the driven end and have one made up by a competent driveshaft shop. The thinking is to mount a shaft and bearing hanger on the front bracket to drive front implements with.

Just be aware that the splines may vary from shaft to shaft. The mid-PTO on my B7100 is different from the rear, and the front mount blower shafts are different from either of those. The first (of 3) shafts to the blower has one style on one end and the other style on the other end, as a kind of adapter.

I have to confirm that the 3-shaft assembly is prone to vibration. It is much better since I replaced all the u-joints and bearings, but still distinctly present.

I am not sure if it will make any difference to your conjuring, the subframe on the 2650-3350 has bearing mount holes that are not inline, they run at a slight cant.

The more I think about this, the more I think it's more trouble than it's worth. I was toying with the idea of building my own front-mount blower.

By the time I paid myself minimum wage for the time involved and bought all the pieces parts, I could probably just go out and buy one and be done with it.
