I bought a Kubota ! :D

Finally after 7 months of refinacing hoops and blood, and the soul of my first born great great grandchildren, I was able to go ahead with the purchase of a tractor, In a few weeks I will own a 2011 MX4700 w/ loader, front and rear remotes, R4's, and a box blade, and landscape rake. It is slightly used (short term rental unit, with 108 hrs, comes back Aug 9th. It's funny too because I joined this forum a few months ago to garner some info, liked it, stayed and shared my know how, built a set of SS forks, gathered parts for more goodies down the line and still did not own a Kubota:p, and did not know even if or when that might happen:rolleyes:. So I will post pics as I get the tractor delivered, and set up for all to see :D

Got 18.5 acres to clean up, it was timbered 3 years ago and most of the mess is left, I have been working here and there with skid steers and small excavators to clean up, but I really needed a tractor of my own. Also have 4 horses and soon will be getting goats so there is also lots of fence work, dirt work, and maintaining the fields, it will see 1000hrs in 3years time:)

Sooo I got the brand new tractor delivered yesterday (the rentals were a bit more in price and the cost difference was very small) Got the tires loaded too. The rear remote had not made it yet, but they new I wanted it by the weekend, so they will pick it back up and install the rear remote next week. also there are some pics of my home made forks.

Awesome tractor!
You've got a great advantage now trying to tame that 18.5 acres.
What other implements do you plan on making/buying?
It's going to be hard having the dealership take her away from you for a few days.
Take lots of action shots!

Well first project is a canopy, it's too dam hot out:):). A few other projects are on the list, nothing crazy, tooth bar, I have some scavenged hydraulic cylinders from work, one is for the rake to set the angles remotely, others for now will wait, I still have access to grapples, augers, tillers and such at work for skidsteers (hence the ss loader and front remotes).

Yeah Deneh is right. And your tractor will keep you busy all day long, because you get addicted to use it for everything. :D

Have fun!
