My l2500 runs for about 15 minutes before it starts running poorly. I have traced it to a fuel issue. Replaced the filter but there appears to be some junk/rust in the tank. Is there a screen or filter besides the fuel filter that would be blocking this?

No tank screen is mentioned in the WSM. I do not see one on the Messicks parts illustration.

However, crap can still block or restrict the tank outlet.

Nope just a pipe off the tank, some of the inlets of the filter housings have an inlet screen. ;)

Is there a way to clean it out without pulling the tank? I used some older biodiesel and think some mold/algae had it's way.

What I think is occurring is it runs fine initially because the particles are all over, but after 15 minutes or so, there is enough of the that cause the blockage. Hence the question about a screen. I can change the filters a couple times and see if that helps.

If it is possibly algae, treat the fuel in the tank with biocide.
But if it other debris, the only thing that really going to fix properly and completely, it is pull the tank and remove the debris! ;)

Does anyone know if the Kubota Fuel Tank Strainer, Part # 13251-41060 for the older B series fits well into the neck of any other Kubota tractor tanks?
