Well today I installed the USB charger and tied into the work light stub wires. It works perfectly: it’s hot when the ignition is on and off when the ignition is off. The lights don’t need to be on to power those wires, so I’m assuming that the Kubota work lights must be installed with a switch.
Cool. Any chance of a photo or two?

Sure. Tomorrow. I didn’t want to drill anything on my new tractor, so I removed the rear bolt on the 3 point lever flange and bolted a small piece of flat steel to that. I cut the mounting hole in the flat steel piece that I added. Works well and a handy location.

Here’s what I did for mounting the light switch behind range shifter, and USB charger behind the 3ph lever. Not the most professional looking, but I used existing holes and bolts and they are handy, but out of the way.

As long as you're ok with it that's all that matters. :)
