In the past few months since my purchase of the 2012 bx1860, I have added several items you may be interested in. A vertical plastic tool case, piraña tooth bar, "easy on" bucket hooks, trailer hitch, load carrier and tooth bar shield. Some have been easy to install. Others, not so much. All have been VERY useful. I'm adding photos - If I can upload them.

Thanks. I've operated a lot of heavy equipment and every thing else in between, but I've never had so much fun as with my little kubota.

I also have the BX1860. A few months ago I added a Kubota fiberglass canopy to mine. That is one of the best things I have added yet. It offers some relief from ran and sunshine. So far this summer we have had a lot of the latter but we will soon be getting our share of the rain. I know I'll appreciate that canopy just as much this coming fall as I do now in the hot sun. Now if I could only find a way to install air conditioning...;)

If your gonna do snow removal with that next winter, you will need some work lights!!

The headlights are damn near useless.

Trust me, I know.

Lotsa threads to search will get you there!

Good luck!

If I may ask how much did you pay for your Kubota Canopy? Is it well made and do you like it?

I paid $400.00 +tax. That included the mounting kit. It is very well made and I am very happy with it. I saw one of the vinyl tops that a neighbor down the road from me bought on line for $200.00 and that is what convinced me to spend the extra money and get a good fiberglass one. The vinyl one was just too flimsy and looked cheap too.

If you have a few Kubota dealers around your area, you might be able to get a little better price on one but even if you have to pay as much as I did, it is worth the cost. At least, in my opinion it is worth it. Other opinions may vary.

Yesterday I added a sunshade. Got it from Northern Tool through Amazon. Took some work with shimming to fit. We will see how it lasts. $150.00 + shipping.

This is a photo my wife took. It took a little doing adjusting shims to its width, compounded by the the company sending the wrong u-bolt nuts - good thing we have a nearby hardware.

I have to ask. What is the rear round piece you have on your 3pt? Counter weight or does it have a purpose? Just curious.

Looks like weights from a weight bench (workout), can get them cheaper than tractor weights from CL.
I'm looking at doing something similar and I have been watching CL for weights. I can get them for .50-.75/lb (sometimes cheaper but you have to be fast to get them) vs $1.00/lb for tractor weights.

They are bar bell weights. I got them from CL for $20, IIRC. Here is a picture. They are 230 lbs total. They counter balance the load in the FEL.
