I'll be the first to admit the adult much about tractors. I do know a decent amount about diesels and have always known the kubota's to be extremely reliable.

I recently moved to a little over 2 acres and bought a Kubota BX2360. The 2360 did not come with any attachments except the front bucket.

I also have a bx2230. It came with a mower deck. It needs engine repair I have an engine for it but have not installed it yet.

Can I use the bx2230 mower deck on the bx2360? Am I likely to find a used mower deck that will fit the BX2360?

Thanks anyone who helps

Despite being very similar - there will need to be modifications - move a tab and reweld a tab to fit.
I do think the PTO will be fine, the splines should be the same and distance should be the same to the gear box.

As for the mowing deck - you can find them, but it may take a bit of detective work and patience.
Search local craigslist and marketplace on facebook - be surprised what you can find. If you find one - do not hesitate - jump on it with cash in hand, if you wait, it will be gone and you will be back to square one.

It took me 6 months to find a "fair" priced deck for a B7100.

Regarding your engine swap: you may be aware of this but there are typically several sub-models of Kubota engines. Sometimes they are interchangeable, sometimes they can be swapped with some alterations, and sometimes they are not usable at all. If you're not sure, there's a couple of knowledgeable guys on here that can tell you what's involved with your swap.

I have been a lurker for a while.
The motor that I have is a d905 and it is supposed to be a direct swap. I am not familiar with the process of pulling/installing one of these but it looks somewhat easy. If someone can point need to a thread that provides more detail that would be great.

I really want to troubleshoot the original motor because it's supposedly needs a head gasket but to me that doesn't seem that bad on a little three cylinder.

A deal popped up on the bx2360 that I could not pass on. I hate to spend $1800 on a belly mower but I don't think my yard is clear enough for a rear finish mower. (Too many trees and obstacles)

Should I be able to use any PTO driven attachments from any brand. Can I use john deere finish mower.
