Tractor is an M5140HD with Hydraulic Shuttle Transmission I want to use my Brush hog in an area where I will need to backup against a fence and then go foward. It is a small area I would be in low 1st or 2nd gear with pto operating at 560 rpm using the throttle lever to maintain the correct PTO speed. As I backup with the Brush hog operating upon reaching the fence can I just use the hyd shuttle shift lever to go Foward and then into Reverse without lowering the throttle ? Will this damage or cause undo wear to the tractor ? Thanks

Yes you can, the hydraulic clutch is designed to do that. ;)
