Just purchased a 3902 HST, when the position control arm of the 3-point hitch is in the up position the pump motor sounds strained. At the same time, lowering the front loader bucket retards the speed in the downward position only. Quick meaning, when the position control arm is lowered from the upmost position the straining of the pump motor stops and the speed of the front loader bucket raising and lowering is returned. Here is the video of the problem. Any suggestions on how to adjust it so that when the position control arm is in the fully up position there is no more straining of the pump motor? Where is that adjustment? Thanks

Look for hydraulic feedback rod adjustment. If it isn't adjusted properly, when the hitch is raised the hydraulics go into bypass. It squeals and affects other hydraulics.

I'd call my dealer's service department. You shouldn't be having issues with a tractor you just bought.

Yup Missed the brand new part.

It's been a while and I can't remember if I did the one on the L4240 or the L3200. It was a matter of making sure it was adjusted so when the 3PH lever was raised fully it wasn't trying to raise the arms farther.

The feedback rod is mal-adjusted.

Here is a link to a thread that has instructions for adjusting it (without an implement on the three point hitch). There is another link in the post to how to adjust the feedback rod for an older tractor also. Since you shortened the rod by moving the outer nut towards the inner nut (I think), you will need to lengthen it logically back to about the longer position.
