When I made the loader for my B7200 8 based the hydraulic connections on the B1630 loader that was one of the models spec'd for this tractor. This has QC fittings in the supply line to the valve, the PB line from the valve and the tank return line from the valve. This means that if I remove the loader the valve goes with it.

I've watched videos of newer models where if the loader is removed the valve stays on the tractor, leaving it available to operate other things. These use either multiple QC's or 4 (?) QC's in a single connector block.

Would I be right in thinking that these QC's are in the lines from the valve work ports ?

If that's right, I'm thinking of doing something similar to mine by fitting QC's into the work ports on my valve. I'll also need to cut the valve bracket off its current spot and re-weld it into the upright that stays on the tractor.

I'm thinking I may add a cylinder to the front mower mount to provide lift, and also a cylinder for side shift. Also thinking that it might be better to remove the loader for mowing.

Thoughts ?

Am I better fitting the QC's directly to the valve or running hoses from the valve to the QC's that I would mount somewhere else ?

Are there better or worse QC types to use ?

QC on the valve is quick and simple.
My Woods loader on my L is done that way.
The towers and valve stay with the tractor on loader removal.
It also eliminates extra parts that would be needed to mount it remotely.
