A gasket fell off one of my hydraulic cylinars. I think is was on the outside of the cylinder? No obvious leaks. Anyone know what this is from/ for (see pic)?

Kubota puts o-rings on the ram outside the cylinder before painting to prevent paint from wicking into the seal. (note the paint on yours)
I have heard that they are supposed to be removed before delivery, and have heard that they are never removed before delivery.
Either way, no big deal.
