Hydraulic fluid replacement when using mower deck only

Please excuse this ignorant question;) I don't mind changing it, I can afford to do it. But it seems wasteful if not needed. For some time I have only been using the mower deck on my tractor. Seems to me there is little involvement of the hydraulic system - just raising and lowering the deck once every two weeks or so each cut during the season. Before, when I was using the front loader quite a bit I kept to the normal schedule for change of hydraulic fluid. Should I maintain the normal maintenance interval or can I safely extend it? Thanks!

Your steering is controlled by hydro as well as other functions. I too have a belly mower for my B2601 but never use it. I go by the hour meter, not what I do unless I use the back hoe to the extreme.
As they say: An ounce of prevention........

The fluid is moving the entire running time of the machine - if the tractor is on - the pump is running. SO stick with the normal schedule of fluid changes, whether it is 200 or 400 hours.

Fluid does break down over time - so it needs to be changed

Kubota seems behind the times with Hydraulic oil change intervals !! Hydraulic oil should easily out last motor oil my L4701 there both 400 hrs.I just did 400 hr but I’m thinking next Change 1k hours that would be 600 hrs on fluid. Then after that Hydraulic filter change every 500hrs fluid 1k.Transmission filter change at 200-250 hrs !! There are Hydraulic oils rated for 4K hours change intervals Kubota Super UDT 2 doesn’t seem super to me !!
