Hello fellow Kubota people!

I am new to this forum. I recently purchased a B2650 Cab and so far am very happy with my purchase. However, I am less happy with the dealer service. Luckily I have another dealer somewhat close by to go to after I resolve a few issues.

I searched for answers to this question but I couldn't find my exact issue which may not be an issue at all.

Here is the situation: The hydraulic coupling on the tractor for the loader (male end mounted to the tractor) had a leak. The blue line would not stop dripping. Essentially when the loader was disconnected the male coupling would not close all the way.

Long story (looooong story) short the dealer replaced the coupling but it is not the same sized aperture as the other three. The new one is 1/16" smaller in diameter than the other 3. I'm not an engineer and fluid dynamics aren't my thing but I assume the designers used the same size coupling for all four connectors for a reason.

Will having different sized couplings cause a problem down the road?

Thank you in advance for your knowledge.

The coupling housing is the same size as the others. It's the diameter of the aperture or pin that lets the fluid pass thru that is smaller. What that tells me is that one line in under higher pressure than the others and the system has unequal flow rates when it probably shouldn't and no they did not replace the female side.

The picture may not be great but compare the second one from the top to the other 3:

That "pin" is called a poppet. It does not determine the flow rate, but rather the hole that opens up when it's pushed by the mating poppet. There is very little flow going to the FEL anyway, and it's never constant like it would be operating a motor.

It's fine...

Agree with Kenny, no problem.
It would take a lot more of a size difference, (like half as much) for it to cause any operational issues, you might not even be able to notice the difference. ;)
