Searching for some guidance about using a hydraulic block outlet to operate an aftermarket 3pt hitch Backhoe. The backhoe comes ready to run off the tractor hydraulics and only requires 5gpm to operate. My B3350 manual list this hydraulic block outlet and I'm wondering if it could be used to supply the hydraulic power to the BH. I understand it would need to be looped together when the BH is not connected. Any suggestions?

Yes it can be used for that purpose, IF you can get the required add on replacement block to connect to. And yes you will need a loop of hoses when backhoe is removed (or swap back to the original cover.)

Added on edit: you can have a block machined to use if the new block is not available

Thanks. I was hoping it would work as opposed to setting up a PTO pump and reservoir system. I already have the hydraulic block outlet. Just need to get the hoses and connectors.

FYI: That is a really bad model to run a BH on because you only need to run the tractor just above idle to run the BH and that will load up the engine and the emissions system.
So keep an eye on the regen signals.

Hook it up and go. When digging with the hoe the 3pt lever/valve MUST be kept in the neutral position.

Not your question, but are you aware of the potential issues associated with 3ph backhoes? There is a risk of damaging castings on the tractor in some cases.

Kubota did offer a few 3ph(ish) model backhoes for certain model tractors, but the caveat was often (always?) that certain special tractor-specific reinforcements were a required part of the package.

The official BH for your tractor seems to be the BH77, which I believe mounts to the tractor frame, not the 3ph. That implies Kubota has not designed any reinforcement for a 3ph backhoe. I don't know if one is necessary, but I would investigate the issue very thoroughly before buying or mounting the one you are looking at.
