Does anyone know where I can get hydraulic cylinder piston covers? I've seen them around the interweb somewhere, but can't seem to locate them now.Has anyone ever used these? Might they cause more problems, because of condensation, than they are meant to resolve/ protect? I have a snowplow that's going to have to weather outside for a while. I used to keep a light coat of grease on my old snowplow cyls. pistons and it never seemed to hurt the seals, but I'm looking for something more permanent.

A coat of silicone spray will keep ram in good shape. Being chromed there isnt much they wont put up with. Best to park with cylinders retracted to keep the elements at bay during off season.
My truck plow hydraulic cylinder rides around on my truck year round. Its as old as the hills and always outside. While using it in winter the snow doesent stick and it actually gets a little warm while in use.
