Anyone familiar with a product like this? This one is made by Limbsaw in Norman, Ok. I need something to trim trees hanging over the fence and remove some limbs I mow under. Might be able to use it on the L4240 or else put it on a Case 730. Case is taller, heavier, but much LESS nimble.

I wondered about a limb saw, then put this together instead. $2.50 auction electric saw, the rest I had laying around.

I've run all types of chainsaws. Hydraulic by far is the best (but have not run it on a 20' pole like that). If it binds up, just wait a second until the pressure builds up and it will rip through whatever...

Battery operated would be my last choice for this... followed closely by electric plug in.

I like it Boz. I'd need binoculars or a camera though. You wouldn't have a picture of the attachment, by chance? I have my Ryobi 40 volt chain saw modified for remote run/stop and planned to mount it on a much shorter pole.

I made this for the root grapple - bonus the "clean up" tool is pre-attached

I hope to use it again soon and I'll get some better pictures. This is the first saw, drive sprocket went bad, so I'm using saw #2. I have a generator on a trailer behind me for power. The saw works much better than I thought it would. After using it with my Kubota, I wouldn't want to use a bigger clumsy tractor.

Thanks. I just try to keep the trails trimmed up enough to clear the ROP and truck. That pole saw with extra extension gets old quick.
