From a "newly minted retiree"......Welcome sir!

Looking back, I am unsure of how I found time to go to work.....I'm "busier than a one armed paper hanger"...;)

There are lots of talented and knowledgeable people here to learn from. 🍻

Well be prepared to be even busier than before retirement. Hung the keys to the Peterbilt up and the list got bigger. But it is nice to go out to shop and wrench on all the toys. Congratulations on no mo dot or funny books.

So... Hey! This site is pretty awesome, everyone but the guys who already posted in this thread are great, the guys above me a sketchy. ;)
Retiring is better than working but the boss (yourself) is still a problem you cannot get away from.

Welcome aboard from another northerner enjoying retirement.... even if it is up here in the great white north!!

"Retirement" is just another word to describe your newly acquired, self-appointed, flexible hours, fantasy job that most times there just isn't enough hours in the day for. But there's always tomorrow....!!!!

RETIREMENT is nothing more than The Wife prioritizing my daily schedule since my job no longer comes into play. Not the end of the world (after all, she bought me a 3 tap kegerator many years ago) but I do need to up “my game” to add some of my priorities to The Admiral’s wish list…it’s a daily challenge, my luck is difficult because, my bride has auburn hair so it’s a bit (ok, al lot) harder than you who have wives with blond or brunette hair. I do POSITIVELY enjoy a pint of beer each gay when the days list is accomplished.

Retirement is a point in your life when you realize just how much you were slacking off when you thought you were 'working'.
Believe it of not I recall a point in time where I thought everything was done/taken care of and I had nothing that needed tending to. Ah... to be young, foolish and naive again.....
