Yep they are 40 pounders. I do move firewood around in the yard a lot. So i figured the hitch was necessary. If I'm using the loader I'll leave the weights on. If I'm mowing or pulling the trailer. Take the weights off.

Update. I didn't like the hitch so I modified it. Shortened it up keeping the weight closer to the tractor.
