I’m trying to find the location of my serial number to let my local dealer order a part for me. I have a leaking upper hydraulic cylinder. I told the dealer it’s a Type L4400d, serial number 52117. These number are on a small tag located on the frame, just in front of the starter. The local dealer said there should be another number somewhere(I really couldn’t understand where he was saying) that will tell me what engine I have. Can anyone tell me where the correct serial number is located? 09AD6B19-AC8B-4C65-8AEE-989C04CD737A.jpg

Look around the injector pump and I think you should find what you need

Sounds like you dealer is a little confused.
Your not looking to fix a motor cylinder leak.
That would be the only reason I could think of that they would want the engine serial #.

Are you trying to get a seal kit for the FEL hydraulic cylinder?
If you are, you need the FEL serial number.
It will be located on the frame of the loader.

Yes, that is correct. If I could figure out what kit I needed, I would have already ordered it on line. Maybe he did think I meant cylinder head, I don’t know. But how many different configurations of cylinders could be put on a Model L440D?
I will look on the loader, that’s probably what he needs.
Thanks,

Ok, th Loader is a LA703. Shouldnt he be able to order the correct part based on this number? Would it be cheaper to order one off Amazon? ( I’ve been on an Amazon kick latetly).

You are still going to need the loader serial number as there are 7 different lift cylinder seal kits and 2 different bucket cylinder seal kits. It should be on a tag located on the left side of your loader frame.

whitetiger beat me to it.
Yep several options.
Post the serial # of the FEL and we can give you the kit P/N#.

And as far as ordering off Amazon or anywhere else, unless they state Genuine Kubota parts and have the packaging and hologram to prove it, I would be leary that your getting aftermarket parts, genuine Kubota parts are worth every penny you pay for them! ;)

ok, found the serial number on the loader frame this morning.
Model LA703. serial number 10986. If you can post the correct part number for the seal kit, I’ll check into availability, and check to see if there are any on line options. The dealer is about 40miles from me. Don’t normally go that way I unless I have to.
Thanks,
Craig

Old seal kit number for all 4 cylinders was 7J667-63400 (Do Not Order)
That has been replaced with:
New seal kit number for all 4 cylinders is 7J291-64400

I don't buy many parts locally because of dealer distance, here is who I use:
