Today while mowing the lawn the tractor stopped moving, just stopped moving completely. Here are the facts:
1. The treadle moves easily from front to rear. Much easier than in normal operation. When the pedal is pushed for forward movement, it goes all the way to the floor and stays there. The pedal does not return to the neutral position unless I manually push it there. The same exact thing happens when I try to push the pedal to the reverse position.
2. I checked the hydraulic fluid level and it is spot on.
3. The FEL works in all positions. No problem with it at all.
4. The 3PT works properly, no problem at all.
5. The mower goes up and down normally with the 3PT, as it should.
6. The rear PTO turns normally.
7. The mid-PTO turns normally and the mower blades turn with it.
8 The front wheel steering works perfectly.
9. The front and rear wheels rotate normally when in neutral gear.
10. The tractor will not roll when in gear. This is a normal condition and seems to be working correctly.
So, given the above facts, can anyone suggest what may be wrong? To me it seems that a linkage from the treadle to the transmission must have come loose. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking for? Any help is appreciated.
