I've used this adapter the same way as in the video many times. It came off a couple times in rough terrain in transition through a dip in the field. I think it happened once on a box blade and once with a brush hog. On more tame terrain, I bet it'd be fine. It sure is fast to hook up that way!

The difficulty for my particular setup was that it made the top link quite a bulit longer (extends out quite a bit from the quick hitch) and I had to run the adjustable top link almost to its fullest extension.

You are probably right about terrain being an important factor in whether the adapter can slip off the top link. I know that my property as well as my neighbor's property are flat. We don't have any rolling terrain or hills on our property.
