Cut hay... As if it weren't wet enough, out there... Oh well, it was the crappiest field that I have, gave me some tractor time, on the ole Allis D-12...:D:D

Finished up today... Kubota L-185 worked flawlessly pulling the NH 256 rake. Rake, on the other hand had a bad tube in one of its tires, and after all that was done, found out it had a stripped stud, on the wheel, too... Got it all raked, went to bale, baler had a bad pulley, on the tying arm, hadda rig it with an old idler pulley, off'n a lawnmower, short but not too big around... Got the shakedown cruze, under my belt, now all's I needs is better weather, to cut better hay...:D:D

Nice. Much too wet here to even think about cutting. Looks like you have a hyd. hose hanging low at the tongue of the baler.

Not my baler, but the same model... Mine is pretty much factory stock, 1979 vintage. They are still making that baler, under the Hesston, IH, and New Idea re-badgeing...:D:D

I've got a Hesston 5800 Rounder. I removed the two outer belts on each side and replaced with one larger belt on each side. Makes it easier to keep the belts from twisting, and make a nicer bale. Good ole baler, being pulled with a 730 Case, 1966 model.

Yep, those Hesstons were good balers, I gots no complaints, on mine, bought it used about 15 years ago. Good thing about the 5530, is that it only takes about 30 HP to pull it, so I can use my old Allis D-10 to pull it...:D:D
