Today I had my first tractor delivered, an L2501.

I've been reading through the manual and I want to make sure this is right. It looks like they are recommending greasing at 50-hour intervals. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here because I have heard numbers as low as 10 hours for other models.

Thanks.

Kinda depends on what your are greasing.....make sure you are not talking about a fluid change at 50 hours.

Grease typically goes out of the place it is pushed into - oil typically stays put!;) - every 10 hours is what I would highly recommend to grease a zerk.

Congratulations on the new tractor!

I have a L2501 that is 6 weeks old and I love mine.

If you have a loader it has to be lubed every 10 hours other then that it is 50 hours.

Just bought a 1999 L2500, Fella said grease it every ten hours. Just got my first cylinder leak on packing on loader. Learning fast. Glad to have joined this page. Lots of info.
