Grapple advice

I am still in the shallow end of the pool but just spent 3 straight weeks cleaning up and hauling out rotten deadfall, stumps, and brush from around my property using SGC0660. I estimated approx. 30 trailer loads @ 1,500 to 2,000 lbs each!

I LOVE it and can't wait to get started on firewood this fall.

I had an SGC0548 for five years, and like many here used it for logs, brush, the occasional rock etc., and it did just fine. Piles of brush and logs are not a big challenge for any grapple, even the cheapest ones. I can say that the steel was no match for my chainsaw!

If you're going to be more aggressive with a grapple such as digging out and lifting partially submerged rocks or roots in rocky ground you'll need a bigger and tougher grapple ... something along the lines of an EA Wicked X".
