Watched a video this weekend how a Kubota owner got a little more lofting power for his loader by adding a small shim kit to the hyd. control valve. Has anyone, or is there a kit like that for the BX2200 or LA211 loader? thanks

What you are describing is increasing the hydraulic system pressure on your tractor. The shims are readily available - proceed at your own ridk.

I will disagree with both above - while lifting more is better with a larger tractor, I do not think buying a new tractor with more capacity is WHAT you asked.

Their argument is Kubota built it that way for a reason - yeah I get that, with lawyers and what not we have more safety guards on machinery to keep us safe yet stupid people can find a way to hurt or kill themselves!

Here is a video

(you may have watched this one) of exactly HOW to do it. But be careful - shim too much and you will mess up more than the limit of the tractor!

I would stay with that .4mm shim BTW

The kits come with a pressure gauge, for good reason. I wouldn't increase the pressure above the high spec.

bxpanded.com has a kit with gage for the BX tractors for $69.

Check out " A RITTER BIT WILL DO " on you tube. He put on replacement cylinders from HydrosPlus about a year ago. They're pricey at $899 but give you better results.

As Greenvillejay says be aware of your tires AND front axle limitations.

I wanted more lifting capacity also, but after sliding down a hill when one rear wheel lifted, having tippy moments over unlevel ground (with rear weight bucket and 4" wheel spacers), and hauling lots of dirt and rocks at the OEM lifting capacity, I understand why the weight limit is what it is. That plus the front end wouldn't take the extra stress well is why I'll stay with the OEM limit.

I've also thought of getting a bigger tractor, and if I need (instead of "want") one I will, it's the smarter way to go.
