I'm (finally) putting the Woods BH75 on my B2910. The mounting kit comes with four bolt on weights for the front end and the instructions say to get at least 20 percent weight on the front end. The rear wheels are filled 75 percent full. I have a loader which is usually on the tractor. I don't have scales. How do I get the right amount of weight installed?

When I had my L3010GST I had a Woods BH75 on it with filled 420-60 24 R1 tires, and it worked just fine for the 15 years I owned it and used it. It came from the Dealer that way.

The filled rear wheels contribute absolutely nothing for counteracting the weight of the BH, this weight is working only for balancing the weight of the loader and more traction, of course.

Subtract the weight of the loader from the weight required. I could imagine that the loader weight is enough already.

Scoop up a bucket load of dirt in your loader and don’t worry about it.

I am assuming ............ that the instructions "think" that you will not have a FEL on the machine???

IF this true - the FEL is better than ANY weight you could add to the front.

As Hugo and Jyoutz said ...... there are better ways to skin this cat!!!!

You don't need front weights with a FEL attached.

Thanks,
That's what I was thinking and why I asked. Like I said these are bolt on weights and I don't want to fool with them if I don't nee to. The backhoe won't be on all the time and I prefer the rear wheels filled for the loader and general overall increased stability.
