I just got a used B1750 last year and I'm going to be giving it a full service this fall. Regarding the gear oil, is there anything special about using anything designated as 'Kubota', 'off road', 'diesel tractor', etc? I ask because I have a 5 gallon bucket of Subaru Extra S 75W90 gear oil that I will never use all of it on my car. As such, I figured since I already have it, I was hoping to be able to use it in my tractor.

Does anyone think this would be a problem? Thanks.

You could probably use it in the front axle if it's a DT. For the transaxle, you'll need a hy-tran oil since the transaxle doubles as the hydraulic reservoir.

Thanks. Yeah, it's 4wd HST. I have the tranny/hyd oil as well, so would it be better just to use that all the way around?

What Bucktail said - the front end is a different system than the HST.

With THAT amount of gear oil, you could change at every 50 hours or so!!! :)

Yes I would use it in the front axle/diff/bevel gear case instead of UDT. YMMV
