It's interesting that non ethanol is cheaper than with ethanol.
I think it may have something to do with a corn shortage from last year's drought. Also, I think I remember reading that the ethanol subsidies were reduced.

I wish that were the case here. Non-ethanol used to be about a nickel more a gallon here at the few stations that sold it. Then, over time, it kept going up. It may be about 75 cents higher, maybe more than that compared to ethanol gas. So, I only buy it now for my small engines.

Oh, and (ethanol) gas here (as of today) is roughly $3.19/gallon, I think diesel is about $3.69.

I was sorta needing gas Monday morning and the pump said $2.999. I opted to wait until I was coming home Monday evening to top off and it was $3.199. That cost me 5 buxs.

I’m paying $43 every 3 days to fill my commuter, which use to be $20-$25 back when things were good and people got their feelings hurt.

I have to think twice before grabbing my truck keys if I’m running around town

It NEVER made sense to remove corn from the food chain to produce less efficient gasoline.
We all know that it takes more fuel if it is laced with ethanol, so yes it does make sense, more gallons sold means more taxes collected. 🤑

52 gallon tank in the "new to me" dump. That should be at least a double card swipe to fill it. :(

I'm afraid I will just have to pass the cost along to the customer...

hmmm, sounds a bit like our gov't officials. I thought I heard one of them say fairly recently that, "inflation is transitory", and in the next sentence, "inflation is a good thing".

Politicians have little to do with this. They only think they can control oil pricing.
Ask the oil company's CEO and stock holders.
If you are invested in them please look inward.
Willing to bet your retirement plans hold plenty of exxon/mobil.
