Hello

New to this forum

I just purchased a new M5-091 and have a question since my books are at another location.

Does the fuel require treatment (other than for cold weather) if it sits for long periods? I am using mostly road fuel.

Thanks.

Long term storage should include an antifungal (I use JB BioBor because that’s also what we used in the jets I used to fly) and a stabilizer such as StaBil for diesel.
If you plan to store/use it below 15 F then you’ll want an anti-gel.
Otherwise, the fewer snake oils you use the better off you’ll be, IMO, because your engine wants diesel fuel not snake pizz.

Treat it for algae, Biocide/algaecide, water in the fuel can make a real mess of things.

If you using a bulk tank for fuel storage, the fullier the tank the less issues, same goes for the tractor, fill the tank when your done using it.

Also a water separator filter off of output of the storage tank will help tremendously in eliminating issues.
