NO, both were not off the ground at the same time.

If you have the front wheels off the ground and the switch in the OFF position, the engine has to be running, or the clutch pack will be engaged. The front axle can not be disengaged while the engine is OFF.

You must have the Deluxe model, which has a spring-engaged, pressure-released front axle drive clutch pack.
The Standard model has a lever to the left of the operator's seat, which is a sliding coupler to engage the front axle.
