front end loader lowering when tractor off

i shut my tractor down with the front end loader raised and noticed that it lowered over a few hours. is that normal. i dont typically keep the bucket raised but got side tracked

You will find it typically happens even with fairly new tractors - and when cold it seems to do it a bit faster.

If I did not have my stabilizers on my backhoe strapped up - they often fall over time - when cold it will do it in a couple of days.

Nothing to worry about ;)

I lower my loader when parked. My backhoe does tend to leak down over a good while. The tractor is about 2 years old. I forgot to lock the main backhoe boom and found it lowered onto the ground. Fortunately, there was nothing for it to hit.
