L3830d The left front wheel locked up later in the day it unlocked while driving to house I noticed it leaking. I drained the oil it was milky I noticed the bottom seal Partly started off that is where it was leaking. Should I replace the upper seal also or just change oil and keep eye on it?

I would replace both seals. I think there is a good chance you had a bearing go out.

You need to know why the wheel locked up.

I broke the bearing on my L3540. It was not to bad of a job.

The upper seals leak often.

I don't know what you mean by "locked up". If it quit turning, you have a problem other than just oil. It would be a good idea to look inside the hub and see what is going on. It would be helpful if you would give a better description of the symptoms.

Ok thanks. I thought the water could have been frozen in the hub because later in the day I moved the tractor and wheel rolled fine. But I’m thinking I’ll replace both and inspect for bearing or gear damage
