Ridger- Like your design- simple, safe, & easy to build. I may steal your idea, but I think I'll line it with a couple coats of bedliner paint, just to protect the rams. Maybe some larger bore heat shrink tubing.

Excellent idea! I had some aerosol bedliner coating and sprayed that on the inside. It turned out well and provided the cushion to keep from scratching the ram.
