FEL Float Function - Dumb Question

Hi All.
I have my first tractor (B7100), and have a dumb question.
The way the loader valving is set up, the float function is on the bucket curl stick, and not the lever that controls the lift (or arms) of the loader.
Is this the proper setup, or should it be the other way around?
I'm thinking it might be backwards, but just thought I'd check.
Thanks!

Yup... looks like it might be weird. But that is highly unusual because loader operation should only float on LIFT cylinders.

Just to be sure, get you bucket up about halfway and lift the lever vertical hard through the upper stop, into the float detent. If the lever stays stuck in that position, and the bucket arms lower to the ground, your float function works. Make sure pushing down on the FEL control lever RAISES your FEL arms. Lifting the lever UP should DROP the arms.

If your curl still has the float, I suspect somebody installed your controller module 90 degrees out of whack. Hard to believe the factory would make that mistake.

Don't know much about the B7100, but all later model Kubota's have a "float" function on both the boom and curl circuits. It's actually referred to as regenerate on the curl circuit. Anyway, my point is are you sure you don't have float on the boom circuit? Might just be a rusty valve, etc, that doesn't want to go into float mode. Try pushing forward harder and working the stick. Might even shoot your favorite lubricant into the valve to see if it frees up.

I see your problem. :)

There are no hoses connected to the valve.

All cylinders in float, all the time. :)

Yes someone has hooked it up backwards, on that valve the inside is the lift as it has the float detent on it. ;)
