Fair Price on M9540 Cab

Im currently looking at a 2010 M9540 with cab. It is a 4x4, hydralic shuttle with 8x8 gearing. It has 3 sets of remotes in the rear and comes with FEL LA1353. It is very clean and only has 93 hours on it. Price is $34,500. Is this a good deal? Only thing that scares me is oil has never been changed. Is this a big deal?

Price seems really fair and the oil should have been changed at 50 hours, but it wouldn't scare me off. I much prefer a 12/12 to 8/8, but everyone is different.

We have an M8540 which is the same tractor and really like it.

I'd rather have one with 98 hrs. on it that I new hadn't had the fifty hr. service than one that was said to have had the fifty hr. service but didn't. This way you can do it and know every thing is correct. Is it still under warranty?

Thre tractor is under warrenty untill december 2012.

You can buy an extended warranty if it's that important to you or better yet KTAC.

I didn't get either, but some like it.

If it's at a dealer use the 50 hr service to your advantage. Negotiate a better deal, either by them doing the work or at least let you have the fluid and filters at cost. You are looking at over 20 gallons of oil (hyd and engine) and a couple hundred for filters.

Yeah, the cost of materials on the 50 hour service for these things is expensive.

i purchased a 2004 Kubota L3400 with 144 hrs on it that I discovered never had the 50 hr service. Did it all myself and not worried at all.

The tractor is a private sell so cant negotiate with dealer. Dealer says it cost 500 to 600 dollars to service it. I think im gonna pass on this tractor because I think its too large for what I need.

The tractor's not to big, your project is to small. LOL

I really wouldn't be afraid of that tractor as long as it hasn't been beat up. 95 hrs is nothing and that price is pretty cheap for one that size.
