I bought a new L3540 and have not taken possession yet. I stopped the other day to see it and the bucket is quite faded compared to the rest of the tractor. They have already welded a hook to the bucket per my instructions. The stealer noticed that I took notice of the faded paint and said he would be repainting the bucket, partially due to the faded paint, and also for where the hook had been welded on. Is this normal?....first tractor here.

Picked up that terminology here. I think I got a fair price, but just wondering if I'm getting a bucket that sat back in the field for a few years...
The paint on a bucket is going to be peeled and scratched off anyway due to wear and tear and useage. I for one would not be overly worried about paint on a bucket. It won't look shiney new for long...

You are probably right that the bucket has been sitting around longer than the rest of the loader. As long as it looks new and unused, you are all set. Kubota dealers get the tractors and attachments in separately. Then they set up the tractors with loaders, buckets, tires, mowers, snow blowers, and other attachments as fits needs of the costumer. That's how you can end up with something like that happening. It isn't the dealer trying to pull a fast one especially when they offer to paint it. They certainly aren't stealing from you, which I am not sure where that comment came from, sounds like they are working to make things right. Have fun and enjoy.
