Battle Creek, Michigan,
my 2002 f2260 was running great and blowing snow when we stopped for a few minutes and then when I tried to get going again the right front wheel was locked. All 3 other wheels drive are working and will spin forward and in reverse. I looked around for a locked up leaver or spring, or snow packed someplace but there isnt anything that looks broken or packed up.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Am not familiar with f2260. Is the base unit a commercial mower? Is it hydrostatic, 4wd, etc.

Possibilities: frozen, seized bearing/bushing, blown spindle, (does it have cv joint?)

Try engaging the differential lock and see if it will move, if it does but with that wheel still not tuning then it has a broken final drive gear and or seized bearing.
If it does not move at all it could be the same problem or a problem with the differential gears.
If by the odd chance it does start to move with the differntail lock engaged it's still possible that it has a sized bearing and your just providing enough power to make it turn, DONT run it like that it will do more damage and will just cost you more to get it fixed!
In any case, it's sounding like it's going to need to be torn down and repaired.

Diff lock only affects the rear diff, not the front. If the front left turns, power is getting to the front diff. My guess is a bearing or something else in the axle or final drive is toast. Trying to move it without resolving the issue may cause other issues.
