I'm a gearheaded geek. New to this forum, not forums in general...
(waves) here's my specific ignorance/ learning curve questions.

how are these engine platforms likely to swap block to block bellhousings and flywheels and bolt up to other models?
Metaphorically speaking: yanking a slant 6 out of a dodge duster and dropping a 383 V8 in its place and it'll bolt up to the same tranny with little modding effort - if any.

specifically if a Kubota V1702-DI-A 1.7L diesel 4-cylinder, for a D1803-M-ES - 1.8L diesel 4 cyl.?

from the pictures I have seen, it looks potentially identical bolt pattern on the bellhousing.

wisdom? advice? suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I think swapping out a Mopar might be a lot easier then a Buota motor, but being a gear head, you know you have to check out the bolt layout on the tannie or maybe custom a adapter plate. You know there aint nuttin a guy with a welder, some time, and money, cant make work. If your going to do it man we lov pictures lots of pic

Your going to have to get the two motors sitting side by side to know if it's going to work.
I had to do the same with the Kubota D750 to D950 swap I just did.
