We have a '05 BX23. The other day I got on the tractor when I got home and the E-brake was on. My wife was nice enough to snowblow the driveway before I got home and when I asked if she knew the E-brake was on, I got the deer in the head ights look! Oops! I don't know how much use it got with the E-brake on!

Soooo, my question! Has anyone added some kind of alarm to the E-brake to tell you when it is engaged? Any pics or instructions would be appreciated. ;)

Thanx!

Contact Wildfire, he has a system he worked up for the E-brake. When it comes to add-on goodies He's the man.

Yea, did that several times. I have a bright LED now on the dash. When the brake is on, the light is on. It's just a micro switch bought at radio shack, mounted under the floorboard so the brake arm touches it when the pedal is up (off). It needs to be normaly on.

Did you put the switch on the brake pedal or the engaging pedal?

The switch is mounted on the bottom of the floorboard. The brake pedal just contacts it when it is not depressed. The switch is on when the pedal is pressed down.
