Owner of a TG1860G. What is the clearance of the electric PTO clutch? Couldn't find it anywhere but I might be missing something. I am worried that the clutch is potentially slipping as it makes a screeching stop once it is disengaged.

the screeching may be the bearing. Find out the make/model information as they will have the clearances you need to know and the pattern.
Usually you go N-S-E-W a turn at a time, checking each point.
Different makers....different rules though !

From what I have found, it is a Xtreme Electromagnetic PTO Clutch #0626. The site to buy it from doesn't have its specifications for the clutch plates though. Is it easy or possible to check and replace the bearing?

The screech could be the belt too.

Looking at that clutch the bearings are held in place with snap rings so yes easily replaced.

Just went to their website, they do not sell the bearings ! even though they're easily replaced !! Well, according to Chatty Ron. Hopefully you CAN see the bearing part number, so a 'bearing supply house' can sell you one($20 ,maybe ..)
Considering this is a $500 unit, I'm not impressed.

I can consider checking the bearings, but for now I still just need to know what the specification for clearance of the clutch is. No money spent is what Im after!

Its a metallic screech like metal on metal or something. Doesn't sound like a belt slipping and no smell.
I’ve dealt with the xtreme clutches on grasshoppers at work. Decent for the money, but self destruct. The air gap on the grasshopper model isn’t adjustable. The metal on metal screech is more than likely the magnet plate has broken its welds to the “hub”. I have welded them back, but they don’t last long.
Pull clutch and disassemble, you’ll know if it’s broken the weld.

Our scag mowers with ogura clutches want a .015 air gap. I recall our toros with Werner? clutches wanted the sameish.

Welded a grasshopper clutch back together today, thought of this thread. Didn't take any pictures, useless I know.
I did google that clutch for the Kubota, it is adjustable. The screech when turned off could be the built in brake to slow the blades. I'd start at .015 air gap and go from there.

I probably should've documented the small process. Took the clutch off and did the .015 gap that you suggested. Bearing is likely still good and I think it didn't shred its plate so we are good! After, sounds are gone for now so it seems all good! Thanks to you guys for helping

yeah the clutch is not just a clutch. It is also a brake. It is considered an electromagnetic blade brake clutch, JD used to call them BBC's. The clutch stops the blades once disengaged too, and the material that makes up the brake is often worn down. Sometimes you can adjust them and get by for a while.
