My EA Attachments 60" core aerator was delivered a few weeks ago.

It is a beast, used it twice so far first time to get a feel for it and to see how much weight I would need to add.

It weighs in around 650#'s so I added 200#'s to it, which seems to work great.

Much of my property is hard from years of driving all over it, even the yard was compacted. Hard for roots to penetrate, even my tree roots like to grow close to surface.

It pulls nice plugs up to 3 inches or better even in the hard packed places around the garden which gets a lot of truck, atv, and tractor traffic.

We will see after couple of years of plugging 2 to 3 times a year if my grass is healthier and maybe get lucky and stab some moles that like to tunnel around.

Worked on a golf course for years and saw the benefits of aerating each year. Allows oxygen into the soil, lime and fertilizer to reach the roots and reduces compaction.

Time will tell but it sure is fun cruising around the farm pulling plugs.

Have a great weekend.

Jay
