Well ... There GPS must be off, or the driver isn't paying attention!

If I type my address into Google maps, this is where it shows ... I purposely had it put at the end of my driveway, as just before I bought my place almost 4 years ago, they had to change the address, as they use to access there house by the cousins private road, but that was "right of way" didn't convey with the property, it was a verbal family courtesy, so they put in a new driveway through the hayfield out front, which I expanded to get my semi-truck in ...
BUT, they're often using "free" phones, which often means they're built as cheaply as possible, so while they do work the camera and GPS may kind of suck.

Just an idle comment, won't automation fix everything?

One evening about a week ago, the doorbell chimes, I go to the door, there's a guy about to get in his car at the curb (parked the wrong way, of course). There's a bag of dog food? and a couple of other things sitting on the porch. So I yell over to him, 'Hey, this isn't mine." He trudges back across the yard, I ask him what address he's looking for, he mumbles something about miscounting houses, I repeat my question, he says he doesn't know, he cleared his phone. My street address is on the mailbox and the house number is on the wall by the front door. I think this was a local delivery, not one of the big 3.
Back a few years ago we moved into a rental house in a brand new neighborhood. They were still building homes on the street we lived on.

I put in an address correction for the property. All of a sudden we started getting bombarded with door dash deliveries over a few weeks. 🤔🤔🤔🧐

We would come home and find someone's contact less delivery sitting on our door step.

One Saturday morning I was sitting in the kitchen and saw a gal pull up and started unloading a whole bunch of groceries. So I went out and talked to her before she finished unpacking everything.

She stated that google dropped her at my door step. After having her check the address, I was able to point her to one of the neighbors places down the street.

What i didn't realize was google had every address for our side of the street listed as the mail box pedestals. So my address correction changed every home on my side of the streets location to my driveway instead of the mailboxes 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

We were debating putting a white board on our front porch telling door dash to check the home address before leaving an order, but after many complaints, google finally updated each home 😬😬😬

Australia Post is no better. We've had plenty of run ins with them.
Unfortunately most of the other courier companies are no better.
Pay peanuts, get monkeys
You should just price sending something via Australia Post to the US. My late mother-in-law sent something to my wife before she died. The item was worth about $20. It cost nearly $200 to mail it via AP. It used to be a very good and reasonably priced resource. Not so much anymore.

For several years if I typed my own address into Google maps it would show a location 4 miles away. Problem was only recently corrected, after multiple complaints.

Gates never said any such thing, I'm sure the author of the meme is just pissed because of some half assed right wing conspiracy theory he saw on the internet.
For the uniformed, the Gates Foundation has spent tens of millions on programs to wipe out diseases in areas around the world with little or no health care and other programs to aid the poor.
When you have done one tenth what he has done for humanity, then you have MIGHT have cause to criticize him.

The topic is "Daily Chuckle". However, some oppose the idea he's the savior of the poor! Here's someone's opinion.

The foundation has invested $500 million in its own nonprofit pharmaceutical enterprise and gives large sums to for-profit drug companies, often holding stocks and bonds in those same companies. This creates conflicts of interest from which the foundation can financially benefit from its “charitable” partnerships—an evident problem.

By controlling intellectual property and aggressively defending patents, the foundation and Big Pharma work hand in glove, often blocking cheaper or better products from reaching those who need them most. Schwab warns this meddling can delay lifesaving drugs and vaccines from getting to the global poor—a deeply troubling scenario.
