Don't know the cost but maybe a Piranha tooth bar might be something to look at.

In any case unless you really plan to put it thru the ringer you'll only need to buy one and it will last longer than the tractor will.

Who priced you the one for $315? Might be worth your while to check with local Bobcat dealer and find one the you might cut down to fit. Also could check with Modern AG. Friend of mine is a dealer and they have all kinds of products like that for skid steers and such.

Wildfire (Paul Short, Specialty Customs on youtube) put one on his BX. Might look up his video and get some good info.

I agree with Bulldog - "In any case unless you really plan to put it thru the ringer you'll only need to buy one and it will last longer than the tractor will."

And for that 5' - even from Bxpanded will cost you that much shipped.

The piece of the puzzle you have to ask your self......would you pay 300 bucks to make you bucket 100% better for digging? Would you pay 500 bucks to double you engine power? of course you would!;)

the toothbar from BXpanded is money well spent - once you see how well it helps cut earth, twigs...etc, you will be glad you bought it. Now if you are just going to scoop sand and mulch then I would not bother with it!
I have never heard of someone saying that it was a waste of money,

there was one guy that .........nevermind, he never placed it on the machine!

I have the piranha bar on my b2620 and don't regret the money I sent at all.

I would look at the Piranha Tooth Bar, have it on my little baby & turned it into a real digging machine along with raking and other tasks. It is the best combo of a tooth bar and wear bar you will find.

Good luck

If you want a basic loader bucket cutter wear edge, check your local heavy equipment dealers.

I found one too long that had bolt holes that fit at my local JD 'yellow' iron dealer. They had hundred or so on a rack out in the yard. Paid $70 and trimmed one end a few inches with a torch.

Find one that has the bevel cut on both sides. Someday if you wear out the first cutter lip you can turn it over and use the other side.

I've been told that Kubota uses a loader bucket hole spacing that is proprietary and can be hard to match---unless you whittle a hole or two. For what it's worth.

Also FWIW: Don't know about Kubota OEM equipment, but virtually every aftermarket heavy equipment loader bucket cutter edge is made by a company in Canada. Don't remember the name, big company, search Google and you'll find them. When I was looking for an edge they told me they'd sell to anybody with a credit card. They weren't cheap and the S&H killed it.

Please post back your continuing experiences so we may all learn.
