Looking for a project. 1960’s-1980’s gear drive. No engine or deck is fine/preferred.

What ya got?

Closer to Georgia, the better.

I think I'd expand my horizons and be looking for a Case and / or a Bolens garden tractor as well. They both have very substantial final drives and many motors will adapt to them.

Bump!

@BigG I did look on the Cub forums, seems like they have been dead for awhile or moved to Facebook. I have snooped some, but not being on there I can’t message anyone.

@jmusits sent you a PM. Am interested, if we could figure out a price and shipping.

Acquired this. I believe it is a 128. Gear drive with external brakes, and a k301 engine.

Deck and all panels/covers came with. Will sell the deck and brackets they are in good shape.
Gonna tinker on the motor some, it hunts and doesn’t always turn over. Will redo some wires, but not putting a whole lot of time in it. Now the hunt for a Kubota 3cyl.

You can’t go wrong with a wide frame Cub. They’re very stout, simple machines. I have the hydrostatic version of that tractor that I repainted a few years back. Good luck fitting a Kubota 3 cyl and radiator in there. You may be better off looking for a 2 cyl.

In your spare time look at my post on "tractor by net" under tractors for sale and give me a call to talk about a deal.

Im in Greenwood SC. I have a couple old cub cadet sitting out back one is a hydrostat, the first year they put one is and the other is a three speed. Beefy units. Both from the 70's. Its been years since they ran and one of them needs a carb now but they might be just what youre looking for IMG_20180418_130030757.jpg IMG_20180418_130030757.jpg IMG_20180418_125851669.jpg
