Found this on Facebook. Its a list of 38 abandoned places around the world. Some photos have a brief description under them. Alot of really awesome architecture on these old buildings.

Eric, thanks for sharing those pic's. Truth be told I wasn't going to look at them but something told me to and I'm glad I did. Your title sure captures them perfectly. The Willard Asylum seemed familiar to me for some reason..........

I had first looked at them early Saturday evening from my cell phone. But looking again on the laptop and seeing the photos much larger the photography and color contrasts were just awesome in my book.

Thanks for posting, very interesting. Lots of creepy stuff here, but for some reason the wrecked ocean liner looks the creepiest/scariest/most dangerous to me…..

Here along the James River in Virginia sits what is called the Mothball Fleet of decommissioned Naval ships. They all sit out in the water tide off together and just float there. When I was younger dad took us out on our 24ft off shore boat and took a day trip down to see them. I think it took us a little over 3 hours or so to boat all the way down there on the river. It was really neat to see up close.

There is a James Caan movie called "The Killer Elite" and the final battle was fought in the mothball fleet at Suisun Bay….. same creepy feeling watching that. Entertaining movie, if you can overlook some blatant mistakes, mostly pertaining to weapons.
