Could we plse start with what symptoms are making you think the FEL valve is bad.

These valves typically run for decades without problems.

Did you own tractor since new or is this a recent acquisition?

Step one is to disconnect and reconnect any quick couplers.

They can appear connected but actually are not and this will stop both functions of a cylinder from working as oil can not get in or out.

A further check is to temporarily reverse the functions. Put the boom hoses on the bucket part of the valve which is working and vice versa.

Second what Dave said, with another step, remove the quick coupler fitting on the loader side / hose side, and swap it with the fittings on the boom too.
That will eliminate the chance of a bad coupling, and yes they do get stuck / plugged / go bad. ;)

Did you swap the fittings?
Not trying to be a pain, it's just that it wouldn't be the first time that I've seen a bad quick disconnect that makes it look like a bad valve.
What kind of linkage is on it? 2 handle or joystick?

At least you now know the QC valves on the hoses are OK, so it's back to the QC's on the valve or the valve/spool itself. I'm guessing you have already removed covers to ensure the spool is operating correctly when the lever is moved?

I'm new hear so please excuse me if I mess up. I have an L3010 with and LA481 loader. The loader motion has become very jerky. Especially when lowering the bucket. I am second owner and have had it for 10 years. I was told the control valve had been rebuilt once already. It is used to push snow during the winter with lots of up and down work. I have talked to the dealer who suggested a leak or PTO overpressure issue? Sorry if the questions are dumb. This is not my area of expertise. I did replace on line due to a hose failure but it worked fine for several years after that. Is there a rebuild kit for the valve? Any suggestions on what I should do?
On another note, the 4way flashers are acting up. On light stays on even with the ignition off. It does go out after a while. I'm hoping I don't have to buy either the golden push button or the golden flash module as $200 bucks for a switch just seems wrong.
Thanks for any help or direction anyone can provide.
Sincerely,
Jim

If the valve is not leaking and it is a joystick style, then I would pull back any rubber boot and closely examine the joystick pivoting linkage.

It could be coming loose or need lubrication.

Best to indicate your exact model of tractor as there are HST and manual shift models + 2WD and 4WD.

I find it confusing when someone new to the forum finds an old thread and then posts on that thread. It may contain useful information for you but it is a lot of unnecessary reading for others and can be confusing if your search really ends up having nothing to do with the cause of your problem. Start your own new thread. :) Just to keep in mind for the future.

Later I will look at the wiring diagram

There is no boot. Just the lift and curl valve pins connected to the lever. The lever/valves seem to move freely. I had the linkage system apart last summer to add a new ball joint and complete control lever with block. Motion is smooth but very touch and because it over reacts, it shakes the tractor and your hand. The lever is over a foot long, amplifying the effect. It seems to have trouble staying in low feed (name?) mode rather than fast feed mode.
